( Tahiri and her two Jedi Master companions had circled around the Yuuzhan Vong coralskippers that hovered outside the collapsed hole the construction droid had bored into the side of a ziggurat, and met up with Face on a floor half a kilometer up. 'Interesting . . .' )

( They dropped through a hole in the ceiling -- a dramatic entrance, but Tahiri was too preoccupied by using the Force to slow her descent to appreciate the theatrics of it. (Here there be fighty, lots of it, brief mention of torture, and more of that other person what lives in Tahiri's head.) )

For the last time, contains a nod to Edge of Victory 1: Conquest by Greg Keyes, and dialogue and adapted narrative from Rebel Stand by Aaron Allston, with some tweaks by me and great POV-rewriting justice. ( Well, getting out of the turbolift had been fun; luckily Mara'd had the access code to deactivate the security system, but Tahiri was still living down the mortification of nearly cutting Bhindi's head off when she'd lost her balance while trying to cut a hole through the lift doors. )

( Tahiri had been out on a scouting mission with Face Loran, who'd been mercifully quiet for once -- well, for Face, anyway. They'd reported back to the others on their findings, and now the team had trekked back down through several levels of ruined factory machinery and was gathered on a metal walkway high over a huge chamber. )

[OOC: Yep, still with the NFI/NFB dance, OOC still chompable (and a welcome distraction since I'm stuck in training all day), still borrowed and adapted from Rebel Stand by Aaron Allston and still in love with the Wraiths. I MAKE NO APOLOGIES FOR THAT. Up early 'cause I'm gonna have a long day. Joy. I cliffhanger because I suck.]
