As decidedly less than thrilled Tahiri had been about the fact that someone had been able to pick up on her little mental friend so easily, Karla had offered her help. Riina had been pretty quiet lately -- but Tahiri didn't feel like counting on that to last. Although she wasn't holding out too much hope yet that there was actually a chance the girl she'd only just met a few days ago could do something about this problem, it definitely couldn't hurt to find out.

So with Hurley out for a few hours she'd handwavily given Karla a call, then took a seat on her bed to try and meditate for a little while. Talking about that particular experience was always unnerving, and just thinking about it now already had her on edge. Ergo, meditating. Or trying, anyway.

Tahiri relaxed noticeably and projected some of the same back to him. "That's why you never tell him this, ever. He doesn't need the ego boost."

Ben snuggled in a little closer and closed his eyes. "He's unbearable enough," he said a little sleepily.

"The galaxy can't take much more of his ego." Tahiri smothered a yawn, leaned against Ben, and grinned at the image of a young Face in the holo.

"He wasn't even that good looking," Ben said.

That...was not true.

"Not as good looking as you," Tahiri murmured drowsily. Wow, she was a dork when she was tired.

Ben let out a tired chuckle. "That's not true, but thanks."

She made a vague noise that was a slightly incoherent Tusken endearment, or as close to one as it got. "I don't spend half my time looking at him anyway."

"It's because he's old and far away," Ben said sleepily.

Tahiri snuggled closer for emphasis. "Also, not my boyfriend."

"Nice to hear," Ben said, kissing the top of her head.

"Do I have to remind you every now and then?" she teased.

[momslilassassin]

"Yes," Ben decided, his breath beginning to slow down and even out.

Ben never got enough sleep as far as Tahiri was concerned, so she wasn't about to discourage him. "I'll have to make sure I do that." Besides, she sounded like she was drifting off herself.

Ben didn't reply, but he curled closer to her as he slept.

Guess the holo would have to wait.
