The Royal City, Hapes, Night
Aug. 29th, 2008 08:13 pmIt never really felt like night on Hapes, not with light reflecting so brightly off the seven moons of the Cluster overhead. This planet, with its cities scattered sparsely across untouched natural expanses, was a far cry from the unforgiving desert of Tatooine where she'd grown up, or the jungles of Yavin 4 from her days at the Jedi Praxeum -- but appreciating the view of the Transitory Mists wasn't on Tahiri's agenda right now. Not with the image of Anakin's funeral pyre still fresh in her mind.
( Peaceful moments were hard to come by when world after world fell to the Yuuzhan Vong these days. )
[OOC: Given that Tahiri kind of drops off the face of the narrative about halfway through Dark Journey, this crack is entirely my own. I . . . yeah. Occasional overwrought descriptive phrases, however, have been appropriated from various New Jedi Order books.]
