Tahiri's X-Wing in the Junkyard, Wednesday Afternoon

Some people go out for lunch, or out to the park or the beach, or a movie, when they go on a date.

Other people -- say, Tahiri and Ben -- tended to consider dates more like fighting Fandom's latest random invaders and then going for ice cream. Or, as in this case, heading into the junkyard with ice cream. (And boots, in Tahiri's case; she wasn't that stubbornly idiosyncratic about her lack of footwear that she'd go barefoot in here.)

"I already know it's an older model than you're used to," Tahiri told Ben as they headed toward where her X-Wing was parked, "so you don't need to keep reminding me about that, okay?"

"Did you lose your train of thought?" he asked innocently.

Tahiri glared mildly at him. "Obviously not thoroughly enough."

His hand moved up her leg. "How about now?"

She inhaled sharply and shut her eyes. "Getting there, uh huh."

Biting his lower lip and trying not to have his heart pound completely out of his chest (as that would be overdramatic and fairly disgusting), he slid his hand all the way up.

Yes it would be, on both counts, Ben.

Luckily that didn't seem to be an issue right now, and Tahiri made a soft, happy noise, arching up into his hand.

This was not a sign of disapproval, Ben.

Ben bent his head to hide his blush and nipped at her ear.

His hand stayed where it was and might have moved a little. Maybe. He was nervous.

Tahiri sent a pulse of reassurance -- with an undercurrent of just a little urgency -- to him in the Force, sliding her hands slowly up his sides.

I love you, remember? she tried to tell him, too, though it might have come across more as the emotion than the words.

I know, he sent back. But more importantly, he moved his free hand onto one of hers and didn't push her away.

Tahiri's Force-sense flared with relief, and she dug her nails very lightly into his skin.

Ben moaned and shifted to rest more of his weight on top of her, moving his hand a little faster.

Which was exactly what Tahiri wanted -- it was nice knowing he got that, and she tried to catch his earlobe gently between her teeth, pulling him a little closer.

And, yes, pressing up against his hand.

Force, Ben, you can do this any time.

I think I might get in trouble in class if I tried then, he mused, not really sure how much of that was translated through just emotional impulses.

Most of his attention was on figuring out the logistics of getting Tahiri's pants off.

Maybe not any time. Tahiri had mostly gotten the gist of it.

That was not going to be an easy task given their current positions, and she didn't really want to move, but with a tiny, reluctant grunt she nudged her hip against his in an incoherent prompt to maybe roll onto their sides.

She nudged her hip lightly against his, incoherently trying to prompt him to roll onto his side to make this easier. She wasn't looking forward to even the temporary loss of contact, but . . .

Ben rolled a little and tried to bring her with him, which lowered the efficiency of getting the pants off quite a lot.

A whole lot, which was why Tahiri made a tiny whining sound and tried to pull away from him just a little, tugging at his hand in a very earnest but possibly clumsy attempt to help him succeed a little better at that.

"Off, off, off, who the kriffing hell designed these things?" Ben muttered in frustration.

"Someone who never wanted to do this?" Tahiri asked impatiently, about half a second from pulling out her multitool NOT DIRTY and giving it to him to just cut the kriffing things off.

"Name me two pilots who don't want to do this," Ben said.

[weetuskenraider]

"Too much thinking," Tahiri complained, tugging so impatiently at the flight suit she ripped part of the zipper right out of the seam.

Ben chuckled and slid his hands along the new skin. "I'm not going anywhere."

"Don't want to think about other people," Tahiri complained, glad she couldn't see him blushing at the way she was shamelessly arching up into his touch.

Ben buried his head against her neck and nipped down, trying to drown himself in the feelings and not let his brain do any of the overthinking--and then panicking--he was dreading.

Tahiri was trying to project calm toward him, she really was, but it was a bit hard to focus at the moment when she really just wanted to pull him as close as she could and then maybe a little more. His teeth on her neck weren't helping with the focus.
